Job description
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive with hands-on experience in Upwork and LinkedIn to help us generate qualified leads, build client relationships, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate understands online bidding platforms, LinkedIn outreach strategies, and has strong communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through Upwork bidding and LinkedIn prospecting
- Create, customize, and submit winning proposals on Upwork based on client requirements
- Optimize Upwork profile, proposals, and bidding strategies to improve conversion rates
- Use LinkedIn for lead generation, including profile optimization, connection building, and outreach campaigns
- Communicate with potential clients via chat, email, and calls to understand their needs
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and follow up on leads regularly
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate project understanding and delivery alignment
- Track and report daily/weekly performance metrics (leads, conversions, revenue)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years of proven experience in business development using Upwork and LinkedIn
- Strong understanding of Upwork bidding process, connects management, and proposal writing
- Experience with LinkedIn lead generation, cold outreach, and relationship building
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Ability to understand technical or service-based offerings quickly
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, in filed of Data engineering and analytics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Self-motivated with a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
