Senior SQL Server Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Expert with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance SQL Server environments in both on-premises and cloud (Azure) settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage SQL Server databases with high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization
• Implement and maintain multi-master and replication configurations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune database performance.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient database integration and operation.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
• Migrate, upgrade, and manage databases in Azure environments, including Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with SQL Server, including versions 2012–2022.
• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL services, including Managed Instances, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse.
• Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Strong scripting skills (T-SQL, PowerShell).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with database automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and governance in Azure.
